🍼 Baby Capsule Installation
Many parents prefer to use a baby capsule or carrier for the first six months — the benefit is you don’t disturb your baby’s sleep when transitioning from car to pram. Bub can stay undisturbed through the transition.
Another great advantage: all you need is a second base installed in the grandparents’ car, making it much easier if they need to pick up your child from day care in an emergency. Hiring an additional base costs approximately $65 for a couple of months, compared to several hundred dollars for a convertible car seat.
Whenever a capsule is fitted, it should ideally go on the passenger side of the vehicle — mainly because the narrow centre position, and the split in the back seat, can make it unsafe to install a capsule in the middle where the upper tether may fall between the split.

Common Mistakes & Safety Tips

Incorrect Harness Height
The harness should sit at or just above your child’s shoulders. Many parents set it too high or too low, reducing protection.
Twisted or Loose Harness
Twisted straps reduce effectiveness in a crash. The harness should be snug — you should not be able to pinch any slack.
Loose Capsule Installation
A capsule should not move more than 2.5cm at the belt path. We ensure a tight and secure fit every time.
Always Use the Top Tether
Even when using a seatbelt installation, the top tether must be used. It greatly reduces forward movement in a crash.
Wrong Recline Angle
Newborns need a more reclined position. We set the correct angle based on your child’s age and the capsule model.
Thick Clothing Under the Harness
Bulky jackets and clothing can prevent the harness from sitting correctly against your child’s body.
