Nuna Reve Car Seat Review
What is all the fuss about the Nuna Reve?
Read our thoughts on the Nuna Reve.
Summary – NOT RECOMMENDED. The Nuna Reve car seat cannot be recommended due to several concerns. It looks almost identical to the Joie iTravel convertible car seat (recalled in March 2020), and the Isofix system is clunky and does not tighten sufficiently.
Nuna Reve Description
The Nuna Reve, like the Joie iTravel, is a convertible car seat designed for babies from birth through 4 years of age. It is an extended rear-facing seat capable of keeping an average child rear-facing up to 30 months.
Newborn Suitability
As a convertible car seat, the Reve can be used rear-facing for newborns.
However, many parents find that even with the insert, there is still too much room.
Additionally, you wake your child every time you take them in and out of the car —
something avoided when using a baby capsule.
Consider hiring a capsule from Travel Safe:
• Maxi Cosi Mico Limited Edition — $150 for 6 months
• Maxi Cosi Mico Plus — $170 for 6 months
Nuna Reve Car Seat Installation
The Reve comes with flexible Isofix attachments — an improvement over the rigid Isofix used in the Klik and Turtle capsules. It can also be installed using the traditional seat belt method.
The Isofix connectors are wrapped in foam and dangle freely, encouraging parents to use Isofix. Unfortunately, the buckle sits level with the seating area, resulting in only moderate tensioning.
Removing the padding makes seat belt installation easier, but tucking away the Isofix connectors is harder than the installation itself.

Top Tether
Like the Joie iTravel, the Nuna Reve has the tether strap attached at the top of the seat. This causes the buckle to sit upside down — identical to the recalled Joie iTravel. This makes loosening the tether strap difficult when placing your child into the rear-facing seat.
Rebound Bar
The Nuna Reve includes a rebound base with an adjustable foot — similar to many InfaSecure seats. However, the rebound base sits very low and does not make positive contact with the vehicle seat.
Shoulder Height Markers
The extended rear-facing height marker on the Nuna Reve appears significantly higher than the typical 30‑month markers found on Britax and InfaSecure seats.
Nuna Reve Summary
NOT RECOMMENDED —
The Nuna Reve has issues with Isofix installation, top tether positioning, and usability.
With a retail price similar to the Britax Graphene and Millenia — both of which have better Isofix and easier tether access —
the Nuna Reve is not a recommended choice.
