Visage at a Glance
The Infa Secure Visage is a convertible booster seat suitable for children aged approximately 6 months to 8 years. For Safety concerns; this seat should only be used for children and toddlers that are at least 13 months old.
Your child stays in harness mode, until their shoulders have passed the middle shoulder height marker. Additionally your child should be at least 4 years of age. Once your child has passed the middle height marker, on the infa visage; the seat should be converted to booster mode. In booster mode the your child will be kept safe until they have a torso length of 57 cm.
Narrow Width
A major problem with the Infa Visage is the width of the Seat. Many taller children will not fit into the Visage due to the narrowness of the seat; causing the children top lean forward. Unlike the Britax Kidguard pro booster seat which has expandable side wings; allowing larger children to fit into the booster seat. The Kid Guard Pro additionally has; Side Impact Cushion Technology to keeping your child safe, plus the arm rests have been removed allowing easier seat belt connection.
Infa Secure Visage Height
The Tallest Booster in Australia is the Infa Secure Visage with a torso exit marker at 57 cm.
The Infa Secure Visage is taller than the encore 10, Kid Guard pro and the Rodi; however the height means that in many cars; the head rest cannot be fully extended in the outside positions due to the pillar of the car and lower roof line on the sides.
Visage Convertible Booster Installation
The Infa Visage comes with a safe grip clip making installation of the Visage easy as 1-2-3. In comparison; the Safety first Prime, has one of the hardest seat belt installation path; and is prone to incorrect installation by many parents and even so called professional fitters.
Anti Submaring design
Many Infa Secure Car seats incorporate anti submaring features and desspite being a great safety feature, many children find the pummeling of the seat uncomfortable and exagerate their uncomfortableness; complaining at every opportunity. A quiet child is a happy child.
Integrated Headrest issues
All Infa Secure forward facing baby car seat have their top tether strap in the centre and the buckle position is not adjustable. The Infa Visage in no exception. The centre position of the top tether strap (inc infa secure emerge) means that when you have an integrated headrest; whether it is a toyota camry, volvo xc60 or a jeep discovery. It is difficult to connect the top tether to the anchor point; as a result, the top tether cannot be easily connected to the anchor point and must be split around the head rest or over the top of the headrest.
In comparision the Britax Maxi Guard has the top tether attached on either sider of the child restraint; allowing for a more secure connection to the anchor point. The buckle position is not adjustable and being in the centre means that when the anchor point is is directly in line with the centre and near the top of the seat; it is not possible to tighten the tether strap on infa secure seats.
